Malaysia 马来西亚 (Hokkien:Má-lâi-se-a)is our closest kin as brother and neighbor. West Malaysia or Peninsular Malaysia on the Malay Peninsula shares a land border on the north with Thailand and is connected by the Johor Causeway and the Tuas Second Link on the south with Singapore. goto wikipedia for corrections[[1]] East Malaysia, consisting of the federal territory of Labuan and the states of Sabah and Sarawak, occupies the northern part of the island of Borneo, bordering Indonesia and the Sultanate of Brunei.

- This is where all Malayan born PR return home for their Chinese New Year and
- Muslims balaik kampongs during Hari Raya..
- It is our nearest neighbor where some Singaporeans came from.
- Islam is the State endorsed religion though it is generally accepted that Malaysia is a secular state with the right of the individual to any personal religious <option to choose whatever> belief.

On a hot, hot day like the weather now, we kids used to love the ice kacang vendor because when we see him, it's just a nice cool bowl of .... we enjoy. Besides those heydays were full of fun. In fact going to the dreadful school was a bore necessity we have to miss our fighting fishes and spiders..anyway there is a M'sian made movie - one of the best i saw that made a great impression on me. If you are going in J.B or Malaysia , bring your mother along - to see it. It speaks lots for volumes of fun and unforgettable joys in our fun days in the 60s and 70s besides it's a real melodrama of my lost childhood which you won't want missing again - if U don't buy a few movie ticket for your family to watch..BTW it a sold out movie in M'sian nowis..
